Cleaning
Cleaning of the fry-top
When the food cooked and removed from the
fry-top, pour a little bit of water onto the fry-top
before you sit down to eat. This allows food bits
to become unstuck, which can be scraped off
using the provided spatula, and make cleaning
the cooking plate a lot easier later on. Mind the
steam coming off the fry-top because it is very
hot! When the plate has nearly cooled off, spray
the plate with a little bit of fry-top cleaner and
scrub it using the provided steel wool. Finally,
clean using a damp cloth and your fry-top will
be as good as new. You can also wipe the small
corners and holes with a soft scourer.
Cleaning the cooking surface
Pan holders, burner covers and fl ame tamers.
The cast iron pan holders and burner cover may
discolour slightly after use. The cleaning can best
be done with a brush and soapy water (using a
.
mild detergent)
Dry off the cast iron parts well
to prevent them from becoming rusty. If you like,
you could coat the cast iron parts with oil.
Drip tray
The appliance's drip tray must not be scrubbed
with a scourer. Simply wipe it off with a soapy
cloth. Make sure you always use mild detergent.
Do not use too much water near the white-
coloured spark igniter of the gas burners
Stainless steel parts
All stainless steel parts must be cleaned with a
solution of warm water and detergent when they
have cooled off. If this does not get the job done,
use a cleaning product for stainless steel. If you
need to scrape bits of food from the stainless
steel surfaces, fi rst soak the area with a damp,
warm cloth to loosen them. Then use a wooden
or nylon scraper. Never use a metal knife, spatula
or any other metal tool to scrape stainless steel
or enamelled surfaces. Make sure no lemon or to-
mato juice remains on the surface, because citric
acid causes permanent discolouration of stainless
steel. Clean off any food residue immediately.
Glass surfaces
Clean using warm, soapy water. Use glass cleanser
to remove fi nger prints.
Note: NEVER WASH LOOSE PARTS IN THE DISH-
WASHER.
Note: DO NOT USE AMMONIA, STEEL WOOL, STEEL
SCOURERS, ABRASIVE CLEANING PRODUCTS, OVEN
CLEANERS CONTAINING SODIUM CARBONATE
.
OR ABRASIVE POWDERS
THESE PRODUCTS CAN
CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO YOUR OVEN.
