Set the main switch to "II"
Turn on the microscope and adjust light intensity
Set the Bertrand lens ring on "O"
Insert analyzer and reflected light polarizer into the light
Set on "R" the light path selector on the reflected
Insert 10x objective into the light path
Place a mirror on the stage and check
Focus the specimen
Adjust aperture and field diaphragms
Insert in the light path the desired objective and
path
light illuminator
for light extinction
Adjust interpupillary distance
Adjust diopter
Center optical axis

Begin observation
