Flying with a stirrup

The SUCCESS 2+ geometry was developed for flying without a stir-
rup. ADVANCE advise against fitting a stirrup for safety reasons. A
stirrup can interfere with a reserve parachute deployment.

Flying with ballast

If the takeoff weight is to be raised by carrying water ballast we re-
commend that the ballast is not hung from the main harness carabi-
ners. A water bag can have a similar effect to cross-bracing, and the
flying behaviour of the wing can be altered.

Use for training

The SUCCESS 2+ is perfect for flying schools. Suitable adjustment
provides a comfortable upright stance before takeoff, easy getting-in-
to-the-seat after takeoff, a pleasant upright sitting position in the air,
and a damped degree of agility from the harness in flight.

Use with other glider brands

The SUCCESS 2+ harness can be used with any solo paraglider –
there is no restriction.

Winching

ADVANCE harnesses are suitable for winch launching. The SUC-
CESS 2+ may only be connected to the tow link by rope loops or
screw gate carabiners directly to the main suspension point cara-
biners, or to the integral triangular rings (150 kg). If you are in any
doubt you should always consult the winch driver or someone autho-
rised by the manufacturer.

Acro flying

The geometry and strength of the SUCCESS 2+ means that it is ca-
pable of flying acro manoeuvres without problem; but this harness
has stowage for only one reserve parachute. As a matter of princip-
le ADVANCE would only recommend a harness with provision for two
reserves for acro flying.

Tandem flying

Because of its size the SUCCESS 2+ is not suitable for tandem flying
– either for pilot or passenger.
