Compatibility testing
Every new combination of reserve parachute and harness should be
checked by either the manufacturer of the harness or a qualified per-
son, when the reserve has been installed for the first time.
The deployment of the reserve parachute must operate without pro-
blem from the flying position and according to the manufacturer's re-
quirements. It must be confirmed that the release force does not ex-
ceed 7 kg.
Caution: Make sure that the speed bar (and definitely the foot
stirrup) does not interfere with reserve deployment.
Caution: Before every flight check that the reserve handle is
in the correct position and that the yellow securing cables are
correctly positioned.
Tip: We recommend that you briefly check the position of
your reserve handle before and after every takeoff so that you
remember where it is.
