Remote control

The wall-mounted remote control (illustration) is used to switch
the HW HP on and off and to select one of the three fan levels
(see Table).

1. The heat pump function can only be switched on or off via the remote control
when the "heat pump" switch has been operated on the device (i.e. when the
function has been switched on).
The remote control is surface-mounted. To simplify connection, it
is recommended to mount the casing on top of a flush-type box
(installation instructions are included with the remote control).
The HW HP and the remote control are connected on site via a
6-pole connecting cable (see the Chapter "Electrical Connec-
tion").
Note:
Continuous operation of the heating element cannot be switched
via the remote control (see the Section 5.3 "External heating ele-
ment control").
Ventilation operation
If the "heat pump" switch on the HW HP is in the "O" (OFF) posi-
tion and the slide switch "1" is in the "I" position, the HW HP can
only be operated in ventilation operation via the remote control.
In this case, the three fan levels can be switched without activat-
ing the DHW preparation via the heat pump.
Heat pump operation
If the "heat pump" switch on the HW HP (" " position) and the
slide switch on the remote control ("I" position) are switched on,
DHW preparation via the heat pump is activated (if required). In
this case, the fan is automatically switched to an effective (the
next higher) fan level via the electronic control system.
"Heat pump" switch
If the "heat pump" switch is switched to the " " (ON) position, the
heat pump is ready for operation and (depending on the remote
control switch position) operates until the maximum heat pump
temperature has been reached.

Description
1
" = 95 m³/h,
"Heating element" switch
If more hot water is needed or if a higher water temperature
(> 58 ±2 °C) is desired, the "heating element" switch can be used
to switch on the integrated 1.5 kW radiator.
If the "heating element" switch is in the "I" position, the upper third
(approximately) of the cylinder will be heated up to the maximum
temperature of the heating element controller (factory setting
65 °C); at hot water temperatures > 58 °C, DHW preparation is
only carried out by the heating element. It is possible to optionally
control the heating element via an external switch (see Section
5.3). If the "heating element" switch is in the " " position (auto-
matic operation) and the exhaust air temperature is < 14 °C, the
cylinder volume is heated up (58 °C) by the heating element.
Note → Heating element controller
The heating element controller is a second control unit for con-
trolling the operating range of the electric heating element, which
is completely independent of the hot water controller. The fac-
tory-set switch-off temperature of 65 °C can be changed by a
technician (see Section 2.3)
"Heat exchanger" switch (LBW 300 LW only)
This switch is used to enable external heat exchanger operation,
i.e. domestic hot water can be prepared using a second heat
generator (e.g. boiler, solar installation, etc.), providing the nec-
essary electrical connection has been established). The hot
water temperature is controlled by the electronic control system
of the HW HP.
Sensor pipe for external temperature sensors
A vertical sensor pipe ∅
12 mm (the opening in the bottom plate
i
is sealed with a leading-in tube) for an external heat sensor is fit-
ted in the rear of the HW HP and a cable feedthrough has been
provided in the rear panel.
