5. Installing the Ink Cartridges

Insert the ink cartridges for the respective colors.

CLOSE SLOT COVER
Keep the side with the arrow face up.
Insert and remove slowly, one at a time.
Be sure to insert firmly all the way, until
you hear a beep.
FILLING INK...

Ink-filling is completed.

Cartridge-slot cover
Dummy cartridge
Approx. 15 minutes
Open the cartridge-slot cover.
Remove the dummy cartridges.
Keep the removed dummy cartridges from being discarded.
These are needed when the machine is moved.
Insert the ink cartridge for each color.
Insert into the slot of the
matching color.
Close the cartridge-slot cover.
Ink-filling is performed automatically.
Ink-filling takes about 15 minutes.
Never switch off the sub power while it is in progress.
