PARENT UNIT:
Power supply:
The parent unit can be powered directly from the included rechargeable battery, or from the included
power adapter with the small plug. When the power adapter is connected to an electrical outlet the
battery will begin charging so that the parent unit can be used cordless.
Battery Pack:
1. Open the battery compartment of the parent unit by clicking off the battery cover located on the
back of the parent unit.
2. Connect the plug in the battery compartment, as shown in the diagram and insert the battery
3. Click the battery cover back on the parent unit.
Do not use force when connecting the plug in the batter compartment and inserting the battery.
Only use the included rechargeable Li-ion battery (3.7V, 1440mAh).
Power Adapter:
1. Connect the other 6V power adapter to the DC 6V connector on the left side of the parent unit.
2. Plug the adapter into a 230V electrical outlet.
Only use the included power adapter.
Ensure that you cannot trip or fall over the power cord. Bundle any longer wires with tape or with
special wire ties.
Charging:
Once you have plugged the power adapter into the parent unit and the other end to a 230V electri-
cal outlet, the battery will start charging.

Before initial use, charge the battery for around15 hours, even if the light indicator shows that the
battery is full.

You can leave the adapter permanently connected; the charging circuit for the battery is electro-
nically regulated so there is no risk of overcharging

If the monitor is not used for a long time (>2 months), it is advisable to take the adapter out of the
battery properly again.
Place the antenna of the parent unit upright for the best possible range.
The parent unit is not waterproof and therefore only suitable for indoor use. If used outdoors, the
parent unit should be protected from moisture and sand.
