O-Ring Seal Replacement (Orion Instrument)

Each month, visually inspect the O-ring on the fitting; clean if necessary.
If any damage is found, replace the O-ring with P/N 711464 (12 per
package):
1. Remove the damaged O-ring.
2. Clean the fitting with a water-dampened cloth, and apply a light film
of mineral oil to the new O-ring before replacing on the fitting.
Do not use a silicone-based lubricant on this O-ring.
Do not use silicone-based lubricants; otherwise, these lubri-
cants may desensitize the combustible and/or PID sensor
and reduce its readings.
Do not use excessive pressure to engage the instrument
into the Test Stand; otherwise, O-ring damage will occur.

Inlet Seal Replacement (ORIONplus Instrument)

Flow Errors and Calibration Failures may be an indication of a damaged
inlet seal (ORIONplus model only). To replace the seal:
1. Pry the stainless steel eyelet (collar) upward with a screwdriver
blade on one side, then the other side, until the stainless steel
eyelet (collar) is free.
2. The rubber inlet seal can now be removed from the fitting.
3. Place the wider (flared) end of a new inlet seal over the fitting.
4. Slide a new eyelet (collar), flange last, around the seal and push
the eyelet (collar) down until the edge of the eyelet (collar) contacts
the flat surface of the fitting.
