4.2.6 Commissioning the gas warning system
The factory setting of the parameters is described in Chapter 8.4 on Page 67.
The gas warning system can be commissioned in different ways. Any HART
Description (DD) or a computer with Dräger PolySoft can be used for this.
Only the commissioning process with the Emerson Field Communicator 475 HART
display is described below.
NOTICE
Before commissioning, deactivate the alarm activation in the control unit if necessary.
1. Open-path gas detectors only:
Remove the weather protection on the transmitter and receiver.
Duct-mount gas detectors only:
The cover must be removed.
2. Open-path gas detectors only:
Loosen the 8 screws (1, 2, 3, 4) of the gimbal on the transmitter and receiver so that the transmitter and receiver can be
adjusted despite a slight resistance.
