Preparing Protective clothing for washing
Do not staple labels to the items.
Remove carabiner hooks if possible, or enclose them in a side pocket.
Close Velcro fasteners or cover them with Velcro tape.
Wash sheepskin linings separately.
Do not wash garments inside out.
Observe the load sizes.
Protective clothing is a programme for washing fire-fighting apparel. It is not suitable
for washing garments containing wool as lining material.
Tip: Detergent: We recommend using a liquid detergent with reduced pH that is particu-
larly effective for dissolving grease and pigmentation stains.
The proofing agent must be suited to the special requirements of this area of use.
