Programme summary Disinfection
Thermal disinfection and chemo-thermal disinfection are programmes for disinfecting
textiles.
Thermal or chemo-thermal disinfection is carried out. Suitable detergents are to be used
for the chemo-thermal disinfection.
All programmes are locked. This means that after 1 minute into a programme, they can
only be cancelled, stopped or parts skipped by entering the "Expert code" (see operator
level).
To avoid recontamination, the water for the rinse cycles in the disinfection programmes is
not supplied via the detergent drawer.
To disinfect contaminated mains water, a disinfection rinse can be activated instead of
the last rinse cycle. In this rinse, the rinse water is heated to 65 °C to deactivate water-
borne bacteria. The programme running time is extended and the door can only be
opened once the temperature in the machine has fallen below 50 °C.
