8 MAINTENANCE

Turn OFF the power source before the maintenance work. If not, it
may cause a fire or an electric shock.
•
Perform the maintenance work with stable footing. If not, it may cause
falling or injury.

C A U T I O N
When the flat panel is opened (closed) or the air filter is attached
(removed), perform the work according to this operation manual. If not, it
may cause falling or injury.
8.1 DAILY MAINTENANCE
8.1.1 Cleaning air filter
Clean the air filter when the filter sign is turned ON.
1 Open the air inlet flat grille.
While sliding the knobs on both side of the air inlet flat grille
in the arrow direction, open the air inlet flat grille.

2 Slide the air filter in the arrow direction as shown below and
release hooks on both sides to remove the air filter

3 Clean the air filter.
• Vacuum dust with a cleaner, or wash the air filter with water
or neutral detergent.
• Dry the air filter in the shade.

N O T E
Do not operate the system without the air filter to protect the indoor unit
heat exchanger against being clogged.

N O T E
•
Do not use hot water more than 50ºC. The air filter may be
deformed by heat.
•
Do not dry the air filter by an open fire, a dryer or a heater. The air
filter may be deformed.
4 Attach the air filter.
After the air filter is dried, attach it correctly to the air inlet flat
grille.
5 Close the air inlet flat grille.

N O T E
•
Be sure to attach the air filter. If the indoor unit is operated
without the air filter, it may cause malfunction of the indoor unit.
•
Make sure that the air inlet flat grille is securely locked with
the knobs. If it is not properly locked, it might open suddenly,
resulting in the grille falling.
6 Reset the filter sign.

N O T E
If the accumulated operation time is shorter than the filter sign
setting, the indication "
" is turned ON and "Setting Disabled" will
be displayed.
• Press "
" (menu).
Select "Filter sign reset" from the menu and press "OK". The
confirmation screen will be displayed.
• Select "Yes" by pressing "◄" or "►" and press "OK". The
indication of "FLTR" will be turned OFF and the screen
will return to the normal mode.
