STOPPING THE ENGINE
CAUTION! Do not choke carburetor to stop engine.
IN AN EMERGENCY
Press the red stop button (B).
DURING NORMAL USE
Stop the engine by following this procedure:
1.
Move the throttle lever (E) to the MIN. position and leave to idle for 3 to 5 minutes.
2.
Press the red stop button.
OPERATING THE TOOL
1.
Warm up the tool before the first use of the day or when left unused for a
time in cool temperatures. This may take several minutes.
2.
Allow the engine to run at low speed for 2 to 3 minutes to preheat
the machine.
3.
Hold the tool by the grip (J) on one side of the handle (M). The engine
must face away from you. The stop button (B) will be under your thumb
and the throttle control (E) will be under your fingers.
4.
Insert the end of a post into the piling socket (H) until it is seated.

Place the piling socket (H) over the end of the post, if the post is already
in the ground.
5.
Hold the tool by the grips on either side of the handle and raise the tool until it
is upright without letting the post slip out.
6.
Position the post in the desired location.
7.
Press the throttle lever (E) to begin driving the post into the ground.
a.
Run the tool at lower speeds for the first 24 hours of use to extend
the engine's lifespan.
8.
Maintain a firm grip to prevent the tool from slipping or bouncing around
and causing an injury or unintended damage.
9.
Apply just enough pressure to guide the tool. The tool's own weight will
generate the force to drive the post into the ground.
10. Release the trigger when the job is complete.
