i) Folder Selection for MP3 Playback
Use the rotary control FOLDER (22) to select the different MP3 folders on the CD, the USB storage medium or the
SD card. Of course, this feature is only available for use where the corresponding folder is saved on the MP3 data
carrier.
• Turn the rotary control clockwise by one grid position to skip one folder forwards.
• Turn the rotary control clockwise by one grid position to skip one folder backwards.
Whenever a folder is selected, the device automatically sets a new CUE mark at the beginning of that
track.
j) Search
There are two different ways of searching for a certain position within a track.
Use the SEARCH
• Press and hold the button SEARCH forwards
• Press and hold the button SEARCH backwards
The JOG wheel (2) serves to exactly locate a certain point in a track. In pause mode, it is very easy to set the start
of the beat precisely with the rotary wheel, since the track is scanned in very small steps (frame) and the search
steps can be heard when turning the JOG wheel (2).
• In order to search forwards, turn the wheel to the right. In order to search backwards, turn the wheel to the left.
• In playback mode, the playback speed is altered with the J J O O G G w w h h e e e e l l ( ( 2 2 ) )

k) CUE Function
You can select the starting point for playback using the CUE-function. The starting point is set automatically
(AUTO CUE).
The advantage of this function is that e.g. empty parts at the beginning of a track are not played so there is no
pause before the music starts.
Automatic setting of the CUE mark
• The device automatically puts a cue mark at the position of the selected track where the music starts when the
TRACK (23) or FOLDER (22) rotary controls are used.
Back CUE
• During playback, press the CUE button (12).
• The device jumps to the start of the track or to the saved CUE point and enters into pause mode.
Checking the CUE mark
• Press the CUE button (12).
• The device returns to the CUE mark and pauses.
• Hold down the CUE button (12).
• The music is played from the CUE mark as long as you hold down the CUE (12) button.
• When the button is released, the CD player returns to the CUE mark and pauses.
