Worm Drive Clutch Adjustment
Clutch Condition Check:
Pull the left-hand clutch lever forward (If you are standing behind the unit);
also, pull rubber (A) down. The clutch cable should be loosened a bit. Or
release it (see Change of the clutch cable setting).
Let the clutch cable go. The clutch cable should not have any play, however
it should not be tensioned either. If it is, re-adjust it (see Change of the
clutch cable setting).
The clutch lever (

If it is not, the clutch cable is too tense and it should be loosened (see
Change of the clutch cable setting).
Check on: Switch the worm drive for 10 s with the engine running

Clutch control cable set up alteration
For cables of clutches with setting case – see Fig. :
Prior to any adjustment, the spring (Fig. /Pos. D) needs to be
unhung and hung again. The clutch cable is adjusted properly, if the
spring (Fig. /Pos. D) gets extended by 2-3 cm upon putting the clutch
in.
Tension: Loosen the nut (Fig. /Pos. C) and screw the setting
screw against it.
Unloosening: Unloosen the setting case (Fig. /Pos. B) and
screw it against the nut.
For cable of clutches with balance spring – see Fig.:
Prior to any adjustment, the spring (Fig. /Pos. D) needs to be unhung
and hung again. The clutch cable is adjusted properly, if the spring
(Fig. /Pos. D) gets extended by 2-3 cm upon putting the clutch in .
Tension: Screw the safety nut (Fig. /Pos. C) upwards.
Unloosening: Screw the safety nut downwards. .

Shear Screw Replacement
Shear screws (Fig. 2+3/Pos. 21) and safety nuts or cotter pins are used to
attach the worm (Fig. 2+3/Pos. 13) to the primary shaft. The screws are
designed to divert (to shear) if the worm (Fig. 2+3/Pos. 13) encounters a solid
foreign objects, preventing thus a damage of the unit.
Remove the shear screw or a cotter pin, clean the place and grease it.
Use a new shear screw and a new safety nut or a cotter pin. Use a new
