Inspections and Maintenance
8.1
Jammed Worm or Ejection Cleaning
Caution – risk of injury! Prior to any works on the unit:
Switch the engine off.
Wait for all moving parts to come to standstill.
Switch to OFF position, if available.
Pull the sparkling plug socket (
Remove the jam using a bar, stick or shovel.
8.2
Cleaning
Put the unit on a firm flat base.
Remove the dirt stuck on it.
Clean the unit with water through the ejection (
temperature, with hot or cold water).
Clean the engine with cloth or a soft brush.
8.3
Lubrication
Grease any rotating and moving parts with light oil.
8.4
Pressure in Tyres
Recommended pressure in tyres ca 1 bar.
Worm drive clutch cable not adjusted
properly.
Vee belt loose or broken.
Frozen drive. .
Loosened parts or damaged worm (Fig.
1/Pos. 8 and Fig. 2+3/Pos. 13).
Choke (Fig. 1/Pos. 16 and Fig. 2+3/Pos. 9)
in ON position
Ignition clutch socket too loose (Fig. 1/Pos.
8 and Fig. 2+3/Pos. 13)
Weathered or polluted fuel
Dirty air filter
Carburettor mis-adjusted
Clogged vent in the tank cover.
The driving clutch cable mis-adjusted
Speed lever (Fig. 2+3/Pos. 20) mis-
adjusted.
Frozen drive.

Adjust the clutch cable.

Have the vee belt tensions in an expert
workshop or replace the broken vee belt.
4.
Remove the ice deposit.
1.
Stop the engine immediately and pull the clutch
socket out (Fig. 1/Pos. 19 and Fig. 2+3/Pos.
23). Tighten loose screws, nuts etc.Have the
damaged worm (Fig. 1/Pos. 8 and Fig.
2+3/Pos. 13) repaired in an expert workshop

Put the choke (Fig. 1/Pos. 16 and Fig.
2+3/Pos. 9) in OFF position
2.
Pull the clutch socket (Fig. 1/Pos. 8 and Fig.
2+3/Pos. 13) on correctly
3.
Drain the weathered fuel into a suitable
container. Fill the tank with fresh fuel
4.
Clean the air filter
5.
Have the carburettor adjusted.
6.
Clean the tank cover and the vent.
1.
Adjust the driving clutch cable
2.
Adjust the speed lever (Fig. 2+3/Pos. 20).
3.
Remove the ice deposit.
