8. If the fastener used is a blind rivet nut that is
open at the front, screw the fastener onto the
threaded mandrel by hand so that one thread
of the mandrel protrudes from the front of the
blind rivet nut.
9. If the fastener used is a blind rivet nut that is
closed at the front, screw the fastener onto the
threaded mandrel by hand by 5 to 7 turns.
10. If the fastener used is a blind rivet bolt, screw
the fastener into the threaded sleeve by hand
by 5 to 7 turns.
11. Press the OK key.
12. Press the "Down" arrow key to move the
fastener towards the nosepiece until a gap of
0.5 mm to 1 mm remains between nosepiece
and fastener.
13. Press the OK key.
14. Select either Force or Stroke setting mode
using the arrow keys.

chapter 2.9.2.
15. Confirm the selection with the OK key.
16. Navigate to the input box New force or New
stroke using the arrow keys.
17. Confirm the selection with the OK key.
18. Enter a value, observing the settings and
setting instructions from chapter 3.5.3, using
the arrow keys.

20. Navigate to Next with the arrow keys and
confirm with the OK key.

21. Insert the fitted fastener into the workpiece at
right angle until the setting head is flush.
22. Press the trigger.

23. Compare the result with figure d, whereby
detail 1 shows the result of an insufficient
force / stroke value, detail 2 the result of an
excessive force / stroke value and detail 3 an
optimum result.
24. If the result is less than optimum compared
with figure d and indicates an insufficient or
excessive force / stroke value, then navigate
on the screen to No using the arrow keys and
confirm with the OK key.

25. Take a new fastener.
26. Gradually adjust the force / stroke value using
the arrow keys and observing the settings and
setting instructions from chapter 3.5.3 until the
setting result corresponds to detail 3 in
figure d.

27. If the result after setting is OK and corresponds
to detail 3 in figure d, navigate on the screen to
Yes using the arrow keys and confirm with the
OK key.
