5. Initial operation, initialisation

5.1 Initial operation
Connect the battery
▶ Plug in the connector [14-1] for the battery.
Connect to the mains voltage
▶ Close the control unit's housing cover.
▶ Connect the mains cable to the mains power supply.
▶ Move the main switch into the ON [15-1] position
✓ Initialisation begins automatically
• The device checks the electrical components,
• activates the standby battery.
• Menu item |3.10. Language | appears.
If the display does not show initialisation ( |3.10. Language) the
control unit has already been initialised. In this case, the parameters set
must be checked or the unit must be reset to the factory setting (|3.11
Reset|).
After the factory settings have been reset, the control unit starts initia-
lisation automatically. Please note that the counter for the maintenance
interval is not changed by a reset to the factory settings.
