B.1
Replacement of the bulb
The lamp cover can be removed by depressing both pressure
buttons (124) to expose the bulb.
CAUTION
Before changing the lamp, turn off the switch on
the power supply and disconnect the power cord!
Increased temperatures can occur on the up-
per surface of the lamp housing! Allow the light
bulb to cool down before removing it or use
protective gloves.
Use only original HS lamp bulbs!
When installing a new bulb, care should be taken to place the
notch in the centering base into the positioning catch.
Replace the lamp cover and push it down until the two
pressure buttons engage securely.
B.2
Check electrical contacts of bulb and
lamp housing
With suspicion of bad electrical contacts (flickering or loss of
light):
• Clean contact surface (with sandpaper, srewdriver etc.) of
bulb (125), the contact springs in the lamp housing (127) and
(128)
• If necessary bend slightly the contact surfaces in the lamp
housing (127) and (128) in direction of the bulb
• Bend slightly both of the retaining clips (126) outwards
B.3
Replacement of the mirror
Removal of the mirror is easiest when the microscope and
illumination unit are well separated and the latter inclined by
10° or so. Only mirrors with LOT number may be used.
B.4
Replacement of the flash tube
• Push up the coupling slide (129).
• Ev. remove the plastic cover (130) from the flash tube
housing.
• Put in the flash tube (131) without touching the piston.
• Push the coupling slide down to the stop.
• CAUTION HIGH VOLTAGE!
• After shut down of the Flash Unit
FU 01 you must wait at least 15
seconds until the blocking slide
may be removed!
