4. OPERATION
A. Operation in the different modes
Mode 1: 0-10V analogue control
Operation input 1 (terminals 3 - 4):
When this mode is selected, the dimmer will accept a voltage control signal from 0 to 10V according
to the IEC standard 61131-2.
From 0 to 10V the light can be adjusted from 1% to maximum light intensity. The 0/10V voltage
control signals are used in professional applications, such as Silicon Controls control systems, the
Nikobus dim controller or PLC.
If the input voltage lies below the threshold voltage (+ 1V) the connected load will not be activated.
If the input voltage is equal to the threshold voltage, the connected load will light at the set
minimum.
If the input voltage is 10V, the connected load will light at the set maximum.
See connection diagram fig.5 with compact dim controller (05-008-02) and fig.7 with DALI power
supply as external power supply 22.5V DC (67-710). After a power cut, the dimmer switches back
to its previous value.
Operation input 2 (terminals 2 -3):
Simple staircase timer (fig.2)
Normal operation:
-> light is off
-> press push button briefly
-> the load is switched on at max. intensity during an adjustable
time (tp). That time does not start until you have released the
push button.
-> After this time the load dims to 30% in 15s.
-> After 15s. in this light intensity the load is switched off.
If the push button is pressed while the load is switched on, dim-
ming down or dimmed to 30%, the load switches back to its max.
intensity and the set time (tp) starts again.
