InSTALLInG THE cEILInG LIGHT FIXTUrE
Before installing the lamp on a structure (e.g. ceiling), calculate the overall load of the
system to be installed by adding the weight of the system to the maximum load that can
be applied to the lamp. Then, ascertain that the chosen structure and fixing elements are
suitable for bearing the resulting load multiplied by a safety factor K8.
Also ascertain that fixing elements are suitable for ceiling materials (e.g. concrete, stone,
solid brick, hollow brick).
For ceiling-mounted FARO light fixtures designed to hold 2 lamps, calculate the load as
specified below:
- Alya lamp without transformer and complete with arm and hinge joint:
- Column for ceiling-mounting, length 1700 mm:
- Ceiling lamp with 2 transformers for application of 2 lamps:
- Load applicable to the lamp:
- Total load for 2 lamps: 6X2 + 8 + 8 + 35X2 =
Load with safety coefficient 8: 98 kg X 8 = 784 kg (7.7 kN)
