Cleaning
Always remove the mains plug before cleaning and allow the apparatus to cool for
■
30 minutes.
The trays may be washed in a dishwasher or by hand using a proprietary, non-abrasive
■
washing-up liquid.
The lower body section containing the air-blower must never be immersed in water
■
or any other liquid as this may result in a short-circuit. It should be wiped with a small
cloth lightly moistened with a washing-up solution and dried immediately.
Under no circumstances should the base unit be opened or anything inserted into it.
■
Faults and Repairs:
The appliance is designed to switch off automatically in the event of a malfunction or fault.
If this occurs, remove the mains plug at once.
Probable causes:
The most likely cause of automatic shutdown is poor air circulation through obstruction of
the air-inlet, overloading of the drying trays or failure of the fan motor.
Remedies:
Allow the Dehydrator to cool down, remove any excess product from the drying trays,
reinsert the mains plug and try again. If a further cut-out takes place the unit should he
returned to the manufacturer for repair. Any repair, or attempted repair, by anyone other
then the manufacturer or his authorised repair agency, will invalidate the remaining war-
ranty and absolve the manufacturer from any further liability.
Storing the Dehydrator:
The power cable can be stowed in the special compartment provided on the base unit.
■
Store the apparatus in a clean, dry location out of the reach of children.
