Preliminary Checks:
Ensure that the electricity supply matches the one marked on the rating plate on the
apparatus. Check that the mains cable and plug are in good condition. Make sure that
the mains cable (and any extension cable used) is arranged so as not to form a tripping
hazard and is not in a position where it maybe tugged so as to topple the Dehydrator.
Keep the cable away from hot surfaces and other objects which may damage it.
Puffing into Service:
When first using the Dehydrator, ensure that the above notes have been observed and
■
that it is standing on a dry, even, non-slip surface so that it will not rock or slide.
Do not attempt to use it if there is any sign of damage to it or the mains cable!
■
When commencing use, let the Dehydrator run empty up to the maximum temperature
■
(control positions) for 10 minutes, rinse the drying trays and lid (but not the base unit)
with warm water and dry with a clean cloth. You are now ready to proceed!
Place the product(s) to be dried in the drying tray and place the tray on the base unit.
■
Up to a maximum of 10 trays can be used simultaneously. Put on the lid, plug in the
mains cable to start the air-blower base unit and set the regulator to the required posi-
tion in accordance with pages 48 and 49.
Use only under constant supervision.
■
The apparatus will become hot during use.
■
Do not move whilst hot.
■
Use only the original accessories.
■
