Gyro reaction direction

Swiftly turn the helicopter around its axis and observe the reaction of the tail rotor. The reaction should be
similar to the drawing. If the tailblades move in the opposite way, change the direction of the gyro by mounting
it upside down in the model. Verify afterwards by doing this test again.

Maximum sensitivity
•
Start with a value of 75%. Fly in a straight line as fast as possible and twich the tail rotor stick.If the tail starts
wagging, reduce the gain. If the tail cannot be made to wag, increase the gain. The optimal gain value is the
highest possible value without wagging .

Gain values are affected by rotorspeed.

•
Always check your gain values before takeoff. The tail servo may move while the helicopter is not flying, this
is normal.
