Thank you for buying a NT-310 gyro.
Before using your new gyro, please read this manual thoroughly and use the gyro properly and safely.

Installation and first settings
Install the gyro at least 3 cm from the motor using double-sided sponge tape on a part with minimum vibrations.
The gyro axis must be parallel to the main shaft.
Connect the gyro to the receiver (channel 4 - 5) and connect the tail servo to the gyro.
Choose a linear switch on your transmitter to set up the channel 5 receiver. In the menu ATV, select 75% for the
channel 5 and 100% for the channel 4. (Fig. 5)
Set the transmitter ON and then the receiver. Do not move the helicopter, do not touch the the transmitter during
the gyro initialization (flashing LED).
On your transmitter adjust the tail servo neutral position so that the servo arm and the tail control pushrod are in
90°. Make sure there is little play in the control linkage.
Move the rudder stick left and right and check if the operating angle does not strike the linkage, check the direction
of operation of the tail rotor. If the tail rotor moves in the wrong direction, adjust it with the transmitter reverse func-
tion (channel 4). (Fig. 6)
Check if the reaction of the gyro is correct Move the helicopter quickly around the main shaft axis. If the gyro oper-
rates wrong, reverse the position of the gyro on the helicopter (top to bottom) (Fig. 7)
Flight adjustment
Take off and trim the tail rotation using the trim function on your transmitter. Land the helicopter and adjust the
linkage so the tail doesn't rotate in flight with trims in neutral position.
Check for binding of the tail servo linkage. If the servo command exceeds the mechanical limit of the tail linkage,
use a hole in the control arm closer to the servo.
Precautions
Protect the gyro against vibration.
The tail linkage and drive system should be slop free. Excessive slop in the tail system affects the gyro perform-
ance and servo life.
A carbon fibre pushrod is recommended as this increases the rigidity of the tail control system.
The tail rotorblades should always be in good condition. Good blades enhance the performance of the tail and
reduce the workload of the tail servo.
The tail rotor diameter is dependant on the model (check the manufacturers advice).
Maintain your helicopter and give it a checkover regularly. Periodically check the tail rotor bearings.
Indications
This gyro is a very sensitive device which translates every movement of the helicopter into a correction. If the heli-
copter flies smoothly, current draw is very low. If a lot of vibration is present in the model, current draw can become
high.
