If the open rear of the heater is visible or the distance from
the wall is less than the minimum of 50 mm (Fig. A3), a rear
wall with heat conducting plate (part no. 30190-02, 03) must
be installed (Fig. A2).
1. Put floor template in the chosen location, Secure template
with drawing pins.
2. Drill Ø 15 mm floor opening for condensation trap as per
template and pre-punch the 4 points for the fastening screws.
3. Only if the exhaust air is discharged via the roof: Drill
Ø 65 mm hole for the combustion air intake duct.
The dimensions must be adhered to exactly.

Only the Truma stainless steel exhaust duct AE 3
(part no. 30140-00) with the Truma insulating duct ÜR
(APP – part no. 40230-00) may be used for the S 2200,
since the heater has only been tested and approved in
combination with these ducts.
Installation is made much easier by using the duct bender
("Biege-Boy", part no. 30030-33000) for bending the stainless
steel duct and fitting the O-ring.

Drill holes for wall cowl

Fit wall cowl to a surface that is as flat as possible so that air
can flow around at all sides.
Drill the two Ø 79 mm holes in accordance with the installa-
tion variants below (1 and 2) (line cavities in vicinity of holes
with wood) and pre-punch the holes for the wall screws (15 –
3.5 x 13). In the same way, pre-punch the holes for the fasten-
ing screws (16 – 3.5 x 25) of the cowl grille (14).
Ensure that the prescribed minimum height (= distance
between heating pedestal and centre of exhaust gas shaft
hole) is adhered to exactly.

With duct lengths of 40 to 75 cm the exhaust gas shaft
must be fitted at a minimum height of 33 cm. To do this,
put wall template on the floor.
– Installation variant 2
With duct lengths of longer than 75 to 120 cm the
exhaust gas shaft must be fitted at a minimum height of
66 cm (between heater pedestal and centre of exhaust gas
shaft hole).
The distance between the centre points of the holes (11.5 cm)
must be adhered to exactly!
In installation variants 1 and 2 the ducts can be bent to the
side through the heater casing or towards the rear and the
double support DSW must be installed. If necessary, the
support can be shortened by cutting or bending.

Duct connection to the heater

Undo the two screws (1) on top of the heater and remove the
casing.
2. Fig. C2
Connect exhaust pipe (2) to top heater connection (3) as fol-
lows: Slide sealing plate (4) about 3 cm onto pipe (claw points
towards heater), carefully guide the O-ring (5) over the cut
edge of the pipe by expanding it and insert pipe into heater
connection (3) as far as it will go. Slide sealing plate with O-
ring in as far as it will go and secure by rotating it. Tighten
securely with screw (6).
A new O-ring (5) must be fitted whenever the
exhaust pipe has been removed.
3. Slide insulating duct (7) over the exhaust pipe (must extend
from exhaust shaft to heater).
4. Connect combustion air duct (8) to lower heater connec-
tion (9) in the same way as exhaust duct (2).
The exhaust pipe with insulating duct and com-
bustion air duct must be rising over its entire
length and protected from any modifications with double sup-
port DSW (installation variants 1 + 2) as shown in figure C1.
Otherwise a water pocket can form that will prevent the
exhaust from exiting freely.

Put heater in its intended location, route ducts to holes and
determine the necessary duct lengths (shorten if necessary).
Insert ducts through the holes and slide the heater to the wall
in such a way that the ducts protrude out of the wall by about
4 cm.
The exhaust pipe (2) with insulating duct (7) is above
the combustion air duct (8)!
Slide sealing rings (10) about 3 cm onto the ducts. Guide
O-rings (5) over the cut edges of the ducts by expanding them
and slide ducts (2) and (8) into the shafts (11 + 12) as far as
they will go (the connecting pieces must be pointing down-
wards). Slide sealing rings and O-rings on as far as possible
and secure with 2 screws (13) each.
A new O-ring (5) must be fitted whenever the exhaust
pipe has been removed.

Fitting the exhaust and air intake duct

Coat sealing surface of exhaust shaft (11) with plastic body
sealant (not silicone!) and slide into the upper hole (connec-
tor must point downwards). Secure exhaust shaft (11) with
4 screws (15).
Secure exhaust shaft for combustion air (12) into the lower
hole in the same way.
Fit cowl grille (14) and secure to wall with screws (16 –
B3.5 x 25). When doing this, the cowl grille should be touch-
ing the top of the exhaust shaft (11) and routed through the
vertical slits in the air intake shaft (12) at the side.
If the heater is not operating, the cowl grille (14) can be cov-
ered with the cowl cap (17 – Accessories) in order to prevent
penetration by water when the caravan is being washed or if
a storm occurs, for example.
