d) Setup and Mounting
Before fastening the outdoor sensors and weather station, ensure that the weather
station is receiving the radio signal of the outdoor sensor and that the DCF reception
works properly.
• If there is a protective foil on the display and/or the outdoor sensor of the weather station,
remove it now.
• The outdoor sensor can be attached to the wall on a nail, screw or hook using the opening (D5)
on the rear. A small, unfolding base (D9) permits setup on a level surface as well.
Due to the installed LC display, it is recommended to install the device, e.g. next to a win-
dow.
The outdoor sensor is suitable to be used in a protected outdoor area. It should be placed so that
it is not subject to direct solar irradiation, because temperature measurement will otherwise be
incorrect. Precipitation on the outdoor sensor also leads to incorrect temperature measurement
because the casing cools off.
We therefore recommend careful selection of the site of set-up for the outdoor sensor to measure
the correct temperature.
Never immerse or submerge the outdoor sensor in water; it would be destroyed!
• The weather station can be put on the wall using an opening (C1) in the rear and a nail, screw
or hook.
A separately enclosed standing base (C3) can be used to set up the weather station on a level,
stable surface. Protect valuable furniture surfaces from scratches with suitable pads.
Plug the standing base (C3) into the corresponding openings at the bottom of the weather
station; observe correct alignment (the round part of the standing base must point to the back
of the weather station).
