Use Behnke patch cables or screened wires
for mounting, e.g. IY-ST-Y or AY-ST-Y, and
connect the wire screen to the 12 V– termi-
nal at the door intercom device (not to the
grounding).
Please note: Guide the wire screen in the
front panel area as closely as possible to the
speakers, microphone, and button. Isolate it
right there.
Maintenance and Care
You have chosen high-quality Behnke prod-
ucts with front panels made from various
materials. Regardless of the material, all front
panels require regular cleaning in sufficiently

Original Behnke components
Please do not use any other parts but original
Behnke components or spare parts – this also
applies to plug-in power supply units! This will
guarantee an intercom operation free from
interference. Please mount and install the
electronics only in the provided housings. If a
third-party housing or a housing other than the
one provided for mounting is used, we cannot
guarantee functioning and approval of your
door intercom.
Configuration and Set-up
The door intercom devices can be set up
locally at the basic electronics or remotely via
telephone (DTMF signal = tone dial). All door
intercom devices are delivered with a standard
pre-configuration.
