Inserting a DVD/CD and starting
playback
Note:
You must not hinder or assist the
drive as it draws in the DVD/CD.
f Slide the DVD/CD with the printed side
facing upward into the DVD/CD slot F on
the front of the device until you feel a
slight resistance.
The DVD/CD is drawn into the drive; this
process must not be hindered or aided.
The DVD/CD is loaded and playback starts
automatically. In the case of a DVD, either the
DVD menu is displayed (see the chapter "DVD
menu") or playback of the first title begins.
This action is dependent upon the inserted
DVD.

Removing a DVD/CD

f Press the button A.
The DVD/CD is ejected.
Note:
You must not hinder or assist the
drive as it ejects the DVD/CD.
f Carefully remove the DVD/CD.

Note:
If you do not remove an ejected DVD/
CD, it is automatically pulled in again
after approx. 10 seconds.

Starting/pausing/stopping playback

After inserting the DVD, playback starts
automatically.
If there is already a DVD in the drive,
f press the SRC C button repeatedly until
"DVD" appears on the display.
Note:
If no DVD is inserted, a black screen
is displayed.

Pausing/stopping playback

f Press the 4 button L or the STOP /
button @.
Playback is paused; the screen turns black.
The display shows "CONTINUE".
To completely stop playback,
f press the 4 button L or the STOP /
button @.

Freeze frame

f During playback, press the 3
L or the PLAY/PAUSE /
Playback is paused and shown as a freeze
frame.

Continuing playback

f Press the 3 button L or the PLAY/
PAUSE /
button 2.
If you previously only paused playback, it starts
again at the same point on the DVD. If you
