Please keep to the following procedure before storing your pump for at least 30 days:
1.
Drain the water circuit (see 10.1.);
2.
Replace used oil with new oil (see 9.1.);
3.
Drain the fuel system (see 10.2.);
4.
Disconnect the battery cables;
5.
Clean the pump using an oil-soaked cloth;
6.
Pull the starter rope until you feel it is difficult (engine compression so that the valves are closed
to prevent any oxidation) then leave the engine in this position;
7.
Store the pump in a well ventilated, clean and dry room.
10.1. EMPTYING THE WATER CIRCUIT
1.
Unscrew the drain plug and empty completely the pump body [Fig. 29 or Fig. 30];
2.
Remove the priming plug [Fig. 13];
3.
Clean the pump body with clear water;
4.
Allow water to drain completely;
5.
Replace the priming and drain plugs.
10.2. DRAINING THE FUEL CIRCUIT
■ Avoid this operation near heat source, flame or spark may cause a fire.
■ Do not
smoke.
1.
Place a container under the fuel tank to catch the fuel;
2.
Unscrew the fuel tank and remove it to facilitate access;
3.
Remove the fuel tank cap [Fig. 06];
4.
Remove the fuel tank drain plug wich is located under the fuel tank [(b) Fig. 34];
5.
Drain all the fuel;
6.
Replace the drain plug and replace the fuel tank cap.
■ Wipe spilled fuel before starting the engine.
