8. Operation

• Always turn the compressor OFF when not in use or when replacing fittings. The
system may still be pressurized with the compressor turned OFF.
• Do not use quick-disconnect couplings at tool inlet. When removing parts such as
quick couplers, the operator must grasp the coupling part of the hose with a hand
to avoid injuries by a whipping hose.
• Do not exceed tool's maximum inlet air pressure rating 6.2 bar (90 psi). If tool
still does not have sufficient force and airflow at maximum pressure, a larger tool
may be required.
• If you notice any malfunctioning of equipment, immediately switch off the
compressor and disconnected it from the power supply.
• Make sure that the nut or bolt you are using the tool with can withstand the rated
torque. Fasteners with critical torque settings should be fully tightened using a
torque wrench.
• Use clamps or other practical ways to secure and support the work piece to a
stable platform. Never hold socket, drive or drive extension with your hand during
operation.
• If it takes more than 10 seconds to tighten or loosen a bolt or nut with the impact
wrench at maximum setting, either the impact wrench is too small or the air
compressor flow rate (cfm) is not powerful enough for the task. Continued use
may damage the tool.
• Risk of burns! Do not touch the tool tip and screws immediately after work as they
get hot due to friction.
• Any excess oil in the motor is immediately expelled from the exhaust port. Always
direct the exhaust port away from sources of heat, people and objects.
a) Prior to Use
• If required wrap pipe thread sealer tape (not included) around
the male threads of the adapter to create a leak free seal.
• Firmly tighten the adapter into the air inlet (A9).
