b) Impact Wrench
• Only use sockets rated for use with an impact wrench! Using hand socket sets will
result in breakage of the socket and possible injury to the operator.
• Never use the impact wrench for an application different from what it was
designed for.
• Do not carry the pneumatic wrench with your finger on the trigger, whether it is
plugged in or not.
• Do not force the tool. It will perform better and more safely at the rate for which
it was intended. Do not use inappropriate attachments in an attempt to exceed
the tool capacity.
• Use the right tool for the job. Do not attempt to force a small tool or attachment to
do the work of a larger industrial tool.
• Do not use on moving parts/moving machinery.
• NEVER repair, adjust or replace parts of the system when the impact wrench is
in operation.
• Dirt and water in the air supply are major causes of pneumatic tool wear. For better
performance and longer life, make sure that the impact wrench is connected to
filtering components with adequate flow capacity for the specific application.
• To take full advantage of the power and performance of the impact wrench, use
quick disconnect couplers of appropriate length and diameter.
• Do not allow the impact wrench to hammer on a stuck nut over 10 seconds as
this may damage the wrench. You may require a larger wrench if the nut will not
move within 10 seconds.
• Use the manufacturer's recommended pressure 6.2 bar (90 psi) to operate the
wrench. Less pressure will reduce the capacity of the wrench.
• Protect from dirt and water when not in use.
• Impact wrenches vibrate during use. Stop if you experience tingling, numbing, or
painful sensations in the hands, fingers, or arms and seek medical attention if the
sensations persist.
• Do not direct the exhaust towards people or fire. The exhaust is dangerous since
it contains oil.
