4. Model 105:
5. To secure the loop handle, tighten screw (3)
with a screwdriver. We recommend the T-25
Torx key integrated into the enclosed spark
plug key. During tightening, hold the opposite
nut with an open-ended spanner.
6. Model 106L and 106R:
7. To secure the loop handle, tighten screw (3)
by hand and tighten the quick-acting lock by
flipping it over.

5.2 Two-handed bike handle (model 106B)

FIG. 7
1. Loosely secure both half clams of the upper
handle support (1) with two enclosed screws on
the two-handed bike handle. Fit the r.h. side of
the two-handed bike handle as near to the
handle support as possible. Then position the
upper handle support with the two-handed
handle onto the lower handle support.
Insert the square nut for the central screw (2)
into the lower handle support, and loosely
thread the central screw (plus washer)
through the handle support into the square
nut.

2. The optimum adjustment is ensured, when
the centre of the machine is level with the
centre of the operator's body. Elbows should
be slightly angled in the working position. In
this position, lock the upper handle support
into the teeth of the lower handle support,
and tighten the central screw (Fig. 7.2) incl.
washer. Then also tighten the two screws in
the upper handle support in this optimum
position.
3. Always lead the motor scythe with the two-
handed bike handle on the r.h. side of the body.
4. Please note: Never stress the cable between
the handle and the engine (throttle cable and
engine stop cable), otherwise the engine will
not be able to idle, and the cutters will always
be running. Therefore, check before every
engine start that the carburettor lever is per-
fectly slack when the throttle is set to idle and
is only moved when accelerating.

5.3 Touch protection installation (model 105)

1. Never operate without fitted con-
tact protection.

2. Position the motor scythe inverted on the
ground, so that the shaft (1) points upwards.
3. Please note:
Prevent the tank from spilling fuel.
4. Insert both square nuts (2) from below into
the contact protection (3). Locate the contact
protection on the shaft, so that it points to-
wards the operator. Locate the groove in the
contact protection precisely on the shaft tab.
Evenly tighten the contact protection with the
clamp (4) and both fixing screws (5).
