8.2 Replacing the cutting line (model 105)
FIG. 23
1. Press down on the tabs and turn the bottom
part of the line head in the direction of the arrow.
2. Remove the bottom part of the line head
and the line spool from the upper part of the
line head. Ensure that the spring remains in
the spool.
FIG. 24
3. Cut off a maximum of 4 m from the cutting
line spool. Near the centre of the spool, kink
approx. 5 – 10 cm of the cutting line.
FIG. 25
4. Insert the line through the hole provided in
the spool and pull it up to the kink through
the hole.

FIG. 26
5. Tightly wind both ends of the line anti-
clockwise onto the spool. You may also tightly
hold the cutting line and wind the spool clock-
wise. When the cutting line shows a residual
length of approx. 10 – 20 cm, wedge both
ends temporarily, respectively at opposite
sides, into the slots at the bottom of the spool.
This prevents the cutting line unwinding dur-
ing the next step. Both lines must not be iden-
tical in length; excess will be trimmed auto-
matically by the contact protection shield.
FIG. 27
6. Guide both wedged-in line ends through
both opposite eyelets in the line head top.
Remove both ends of the line from the slots,
where they were temporarily wedged in, and
guide the spool with spring into the line head
top.
