b) Tooth profile play motor/Setting the main driving toothed wheel
Regularly check the gear teeth play between the motor drive
pinion and the main drive wheel.
• To do so, slide a paper strip (80 g/sheet) in between the
cog wheels (ill. 25).
• To correct the gear teeth play, loosen the two attachment
screws of the motor and adjust according to circumstances.
The Gear teeth play was adjusted properly if the paper strip can be inserted effortlessly and if a solidly ragged paper
strip emerges at the end after being twisted in.
c) Setting the toothed bet tension
Regularly check the toothed belt leading to the tail rotor drive for damages and correct tension. You have achieved the
right belt tension if you can press one side of the drive belt with a small screwdriver inwards towards the center (about
3mm) starting at the front edge of the tail pipe without using excessive force.
Perform the correction of the belt tension by loosening the four attachment screws of the tail and shifting the tail pipe
by approx. 1 mm to the back. To achieve an exact setting, you may have to reassemble the entire tail rotor drive first to
be able to adjust the belt tension properly.
