f) Installing the Main Landing Gear and Wheel Fairings
The construction kit also contains wheel covers.
If you want to start your model on unpaved flight areas (e.g. grass), we recommend not installing the wheel
fairings.
These operating instructions show assembly with the wheel fairings.
Install the main landing gear to the fuselage with
screws M3 x 10 mm and the drive-in nuts already
installed (figure 5a).
Then install the wheel axes with washers and a M6 nut
to the main landing gear.
Then plug a collar, the wheels and another collar onto
the axes (figure 5b).
Attach the collars so that the wheels can turn easily
with a minimum tolerance.
If you want to install wheel fairings, you need to slightly
loosen the the M6 nut again and push the wheel fairings
between the landing gear brackets and the wheel axis.
All screw connections metal/metal must be
secured with threadlocker varnish.
