Operating Instructions SATAjet 1800 M
EN
Notice!
We recommend using a test air nozzle (accessories) to adjust the spray-
ing parameters and to reproduce adjusted settings.
When using external round / flat fan control
■ Adjust the spray fan pattern by regulating the corresponding air pres-
sure at the flat fan control connections [4-12], [5-5] and round fan
compressed air connection [4-6], [5-7].
When using internal round / flat fan control
■ Adjust the spray fan pattern by regulating the round / flat fan control
[6-8].
Painting
Notice!
When spraying paint, only use as much material as is required for the
specific procedure. When spraying paint, maintain the necessary spray
distance. After spraying paint, store or dispose of the material correctly.
■ Adjust the necessary spray distance (see chapter 7.7).
When using external round / flat fan control
■ Ensure the necessary compressed air flow rate for flat fan com-
pressed air connection [4-12], [5-5].
■ Ensure the necessary compressed air flow rate for round fan com-
pressed air connection [4-6], [5-7].
When using internal round / flat fan control
■ Ensure spraying air feed at spraying air connection [6-6].
■ Ensure adequate material flow rate at material flow connection [4-10],
[5-5], [6-5].
■ Trigger control pulse (min. 3 bar) at control air connection [4-5], [5-7],
[6-7] for the spraying process.
Switch off the automatic gun
Notice!
When the control air is switched off, the compressed air at the round / flat
fan control is not interrupted, and continues to flow out of the air cap.
For longer spraying interruptions, the pre- and post air must be con-
trolled at an external valve.
