1. First disconnect the plug connection 1 on the hub dynamo (fig. 40). Do
not pull on the cable, but always on the plug itself.
2. Loosen the clamping axle 2 until you can remove the wheel from the
fork (fig. 40).

3. Remove the front wheel downwards from the fork.
4. Install in reverse order (note the tightening torques). ⇨ section

1. Open the brake so that you can pass the wheel through the brake pads.
To do this, operate the locking lever 1 and turn the Bowden cable
clamp 2 (fig. 41).
2. Loosen the two axle bolts until you can remove the wheel from the
fork (fig. 42).
3. Remove the front wheel downwards from the fork.

44.2.1 Preparatory work

1. Open the brake so that you can pass the wheel through the brake pads.
To do this, operate the locking lever 1 and turn the Bowden cable
clamp 2 (fig. 41).
Ludwig / Lotte / Friedrich / Frieda - Alfine
1. Shift to the highest possible gear.
2. Press the lug of the switching mechanism 1 clockwise to loosen the
shift cable (fig. 43).
3. Unhook the end of the cable 2 from the cable drum of the hub and
then unhook the rubberised end of the shift cable sleeve 3 from the
black metal plate 4 .

1. Shift to the lowest possible gear.
2. Insert a 2 mm Allen key into the hole 1 and turn the shift mechanism
counterclockwise to loosen the shift cable (fig. 44).
3. Unhook the end of the cable 2 from the cable drum of the hub and
then unhook the rubberised end of the shift cable sleeve 3 from the
black metal plate 4 .

44.2.2 Remove rear wheel

1. Perform the preparatory work for your model

2. Loosen the screws on the axle and remove the rear wheel downwards
from the slides at the dropout. The belt is automatically slackened by
the inclined opening of the slide (fig. 46).
3. Remove the belt from the rear belt pulley and remove the rear wheel
