Mounting the front luggage rack

NOTE
Risk of damage!
The luggage rack holder was developed especially for the Schindel-
hauer aluminium front luggage rack. Mounting another luggage rack or
other components can damage the bike.
» Do not mount another luggage rack or other components on the
luggage rack.
» Do not fit the mounting bolts without the front carrier, as this may
block the steering.
Gustav / Greta
Depending on the model, your bike already has an aluminium front luggage
rack or it can be retrofitted with one.
1. Unscrew the dummy plugs 1 on the left and right side of the head
tube.
2. Now hold the front carrier with its 4 connection points congruently over
the side holes in the head tube (fig. 11).
3. Make sure that the cable ropes run between the left receptacle of the
luggage rack (in the direction of travel) and the head tube.
4. Insert the supplied washers between the front carrier and the two lower
mounting holes. Screw both screws about halfway into the threaded
hole so that the luggage carrier is fixed in place (fig. 12).
5. Now insert the other two washers between the luggage carrier and the
upper mounting holes of the head tube and screw in the bolts.
6. Then tighten all 4 screws evenly (15 Nm) (fig. 13).
