EN
Risk of accident and injury!
Incorrectly transported or inadequately secured luggage can lead to
falls and accidents.
» Do not transport persons or animals on the luggage rack.
» Distribute additional weight evenly on the rear luggage rack.
» Secure objects and loose parts on the luggage rack against slipping
and falling.
» Only use undamaged tensioning belts or VarioStraps to secure
luggage.
» If you use fasteners, e.g. tensioning straps or cables, make sure that
they cannot become caught in any moving parts.
» Always use robust saddle bags to transport your luggage.
» After loading the front carrier, be sure to check the free movement
of the handlebars. The steering must not be impaired by the luggage
under any circumstances.

Front luggage rack

Gustav / Greta
The Gustav and Greta models are equipped with a front luggage rack or are
designed for a retrofit.
The luggage carrier has a usable surface area of approx. 36.5 x 26.5 cm, at
a maximum height of 17 cm.
The scope of delivery includes two approx. 80 cm long elastic VarioStraps,
with which lighter objects weighing up to 5 kg can be attached to the
luggage carrier.
When the VarioStraps are not in use, they can simply be stretched over all
four corners on the sides (fig. 33).
Each tensioning belt is provided with 18 slots that can be hooked into the
four attachment points of the luggage carrier depending on the shape and
size of the transported goods (fig. 34 – fig. 36).
In the case of goods weighing more than 5 kg, fixation by the tensioning
belts alone cannot be guaranteed. Also note that the tensioning belts can
be overstretched under excessive load and thus become permanently
elongated.
The luggage carrier may be loaded with a maximum of 15 kg. If the load is
too heavy, the luggage rack and bike can be damaged.
Make sure that the bike stands securely when loaded.
Before cycling, the following things should be noted:
• The tensioning belts must sit securely on the fixing points.
• The load must not be wider than the handlebars and must not project
forward more than 15 cm beyond the base of the carrier.
• The handlebars must not collide with the load when steering.
• The ends of the tension belts must not hang down loosely (fig. 37), but
must always be secured to one of the four fastening buttons (fig. 38).
