(Dis-)Assembling the rear wheel
Open the brake caliper as described above. Please refer to the same infor-
mation as the front brake (page 30).
For the following models, please note the special instructions:
• Ludwig XIV: „Special features – Rohloff Speedhub" on page 36 /
„Brake system Formula Cura" on page 37
• Wilhelm C-Line: „Brake system – Formula Cura" on page 37

1. Shift to the highest gear.
2. In order to detach the shifter cable from the cable drum, push the small
black lever clockwise (arrow -fig. 6). Unhook the cable from the cable
drum as well as from the support bracket (black metal bracket - fig. 6).
3. Loosen the hub nuts on both sides and remove the rear wheel. The
belt tension will be decreased automatically while moving the wheel
downwards from the drop out sledge.
4. Now you can remove the belt from the rear sprocket and free the wheel.
Assembling works in reverse order:
1. Bring the belt in a position so that it is completely covering the teeth
of both sprockets.
2. Attach the rear axle to the drop out sledges, make sure that the non-
turn-washers (blue and green) are positioned as shown in fig 7.
3. Put some weight on the bicycle so that the axle is properly fitted in
the drop out sledge. As soon as the axle is at its last position the belt is
properly tensioned.
4. Tighten the hub nuts according to the stated tightening torque in the
chart (p. 42).
