2. 2. WIRING

Cables which pass through a metal wall must be protected and insulated using a sheath or sleeve.
Attach cables to prevent any contact with moving parts.
If the drive is used outdoors and if the power supply cable is of the H05-VVF type, route the cable in
a UV-resistant duct, e.g. trunking.
The drive cable can be removed. If it becomes damaged, replace it with an identical cable.
Leave the drive power supply cable accessible: it must be easily replaceable.
Always make a loop in the power supply cable to prevent water entering the drive!
Switch o the power supply.

2. 3. COMMISSIONING

These instructions describe commissioning the drive using a local Somfy io-homecontrol

2. 3. 1. Identifying the commissioning steps already completed
Only one drive should be supplied at a time.
Three di erent reactions can be used to identify the status of the drive. Cut the power supply to a single
motorised product for two seconds to ascertain the status of the drive:
Reaction 1:
When switched on, the motorised product moves up and down.
The travel end limits are set and no control point has been programmed.

Reaction 2:
The motorised product does not move up and down when under voltage and does not react when the
control point keys are pressed.
The travel end limits are not set and no io control point has been programmed.

The motorised product does not move up and down when under voltage but does react when the control
point keys are pressed.
Commissioning is complete.
