Maintenance, operating hours
and repairs
Packing
The canopy must be folded cell to cell, ensuring that the cell wall re-
inforcements in the leading edge are laid as flat as possible on top of
one another. Changing the position of the main fold around the centre
of the wing furthermore avoids wear and tear on the same section.
Avoid unnecessary compression and excessively tight packing.
Care and Maintenance
Ultraviolet light, heat, moisture, salt water, aggressive cleaning
agents, improper storage or mechanical stress (dragging the glider
over the ground) will accelerate the ageing process. The life of a gli-
der can be extended significantly by observing the following points:
room temperature, or outdoors in the shade.

or every 150 flying hours, whichever is the sooner. When carrying out
a check, the condition of all materials is assessed with the utmost
care according to strict guidelines. Finally, the overall condition of the
paraglider is rated and recorded in a test report. You can find addi-
tional information on the check in the «Service» section of this manu-
al or at www.advance.ch.
