Troubleshooting

Malfunction
Upper blades move too
little
Top blade does not
move
Adjusting head jammed
Leaf springs in the head
mount are too loose.
Play between pivot

Pivot lever difficult to

Cuts poorly or not at all

Leaf springs are comple-
tely broken

eccentric shaft are worn
out (insufficient lubrica-
tion)
Defective gear wheel.
Thread dirty or rusty.
Pressure spring jammed.
Comb plate screws

Leaf springs and/or cap
screws are worn out
Centring sleeve lost.
Clipper blade is blunt
Clipper blades have not
been correctly ground
Clipper blades are not
oiled
Shearing tension too low
Leaf springs broken.
The animal's hair is wet
Hair clamped between
upper and lower blade

Rectification
Have leaf springs replaced
on both sides

Dismantle the blades,
clean them well and oil
them, then mount them
and increase the pressure
