Overheating safety mechanism
If the fryer is turned on accidentally without cooking oil in the tank or if there is not
enough oil in the tank, then in order to protect it from overheating, the fryer will
automatically turn off when the temperature reaches approximately 230° C. In this
case, turn off the machine and wait for it to cool.
After the device has been automatically switched off by
the overheating mechanism, it can be turned on again,
provided that the RESET button in the connection box is
pressed.
In order to do this, the device must cool to a temperature
below 170° C. Then in a counter-clockwise direction
unscrew the cap to the RESET button, push the pin and
screw the cap back on.
Once this is done, you can normally turn on the device.

6. Cleaning and maintenance

6.1 Safety advice

o Before beginning with repair or cleaning works make sure the device has been
disconnected from power socket and has cooled down.
o Do not use any acid agents and make sure no water ingresses the device.
o To protect yourself from electric shock, never immerse the device, its cables
and the plug in water or other liquids.
CAUTION!
The device is not suited for direct washing via water jets. Therefore, you must not
use any kind of pressure water jet for cleaning the device!

6.2 Cleaning

o Regularly clean the device.
o Before cleaning, allow the device to cool.
o Carefully drain cooled cooking oil through the drain mechanism to a suitable
container (see section 5.3 "Operation"). Make sure that the container is placed
securely.
o The heater can be easily removed from the oil tank by lifting and removing the control
box. This allows you to easily clean the heater and tank.
