PELTOR™ User's Manual
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION HEADSET
This headset offers wireless communication between two or more individuals and also via Bluetooth® technology to
another Bluetooth equipped device, for instance a mobile phone. With Peltor noise cancelling microphones, it is possible to
communicate even in noisy environments.
Read these instructions carefully before use and save for future reference.
FUNCTIONAL PROPERTIES
Wireless communication headset for 8 radio channels in the 446 MHz frequency range.
Working range of up to approximately 2 km outdoors with the high output power setting.
38 CTCSS sub-tones, allowing user groups to use the same radio channel without interfering with each other.
Short range Bluetooth connection to a mobile phone or another Bluetooth equipped device.
Active hearing protector with stereo microphones and level-dependent sound limitation.
Operating time normally more than one working day, depending on the type of battery and mode of use.
Warning for low battery voltage.
Automatic shut-off 2 h after the last activation.
Chosen settings are verified with a voice message.
The last setting is stored when the unit is switched off.
PARTS (Fig. H)

Over-the-head band with wide soft padding for good comfort throughout the working day.
- Neck band with low profile for good comfort when an over-the-head band is in conflict with other equipment.
- Helmet attachments for use with a helmet. These attachments also have slots for visor and rain shield.

Individually-sprung stainless steel headband wires provide an even distribution of pressure around the ears.
Steel headband wires maintain their resilience better than plastic headbands through a wide range of temperatures.

Low profile two-point fasteners allow easy height adjustment.

Soft, wide foam/fluid-filled ear cushions with built-in pressure-relief channels for low pressure, effective sealing
and individual comfort.

Flexible antenna with high receptivity.
6.
Connector for external equipment, such as another communication radio, a mobile phone, etc.
7.
Batteries. The headset is supplied with Peltor a NiMH battery (ACK051) and an appropriate battery charger.
Standard size AA batteries can also be used. See "BATTERIES" below!
8.
Ambient noise compensated speech microphone for high speech recognition even in a noisy environment.
9.
Keypad for easy adjustments and settings.
Wireless Bluetooth link to another Bluetooth equipped device (Not shown in picture)
FUNCTIONAL BUTTONS (Fig. A)
1.
ON/OFF/MODE (Θ) Switches the headset on and off, and allows you to choose between functions in the menu.
2.
UP (+) Increases the level of the selected function.
3.
DOWN (–) Decreases the level of the selected function.
4.
PTT Push-To-Talk function for the WS Lite-Com radio.
5.
BT Bluetooth button.
RADIO FREQUENCY
The communication radio in the headset is working on 8 PMR channels (446.00625, 446.018750, 446.031250, 446.043750,
446.056250, 446.068750, 446.081250 and 446.093750 MHz). These channels are license free in the European
Community.
