Thermal bridge mode HEAT
In relation to buildings, the term thermal bridge refers to an area, e.g. an inside wall,
at which heat is transferred outwards faster than at the rest of the inside wall. When
viewed from the inside, the temperature of this area is lower than the surrounding
areas and when viewed from outside higher than the surrounding areas. This often
indicates faulty or inadequate insulation.
For this purpose, the CondenseSpot XP compares the ambient temperature with the surface temperature.
If there are large differences in both temperatures, the device will trigger warnings in 2 stages: „CHK" is
displayed in borderline cases or the display lighting changes to „blue" or „red" to indicate the differences
are very large.
Example: Sensitivity „MID" (for setting see Section 5):
Ambient temperature:
20°C
No thermal bridge
2-stage warning
Check "CHK" range
Display: Red ("HI") / blue ("LOW")

Max/Min/AVG modes refer to the infrared
temperature and show the maximum, minimum or
average infrared temperature. With the trigger (9)
pressed, the Max/Min/AVG values are determined
while measuring. The value is deleted and calcu-
lated again at the start of a new measurement or
by pressing the trigger (9).
