– Undo 3 screws (Pos. 207, Fig. 10).
– Take the base of the tape drum (Fig. 67) and the tape drum assembly
(Fig. 63) carefully out of the drive mechanism.
– Undo 3 screws (Pos. 218, Fig. 10).
– Remove the tape drum assembly.
Reassemble in reverse order.
Checks and adjustments on replacement of the tape drum assy:
– Check the tape path (see point 5.8).
– Adjust the headwheel position indicator (see adjustment on p. 2-3).
3.6 Loading Motor
– Loosen the clamps D (Fig. 18).
– Push the loading motor assembly in the direction of the reel and
remove it.
– Loosen clamp B (Fig. 16) and take out the loading motor together
with the worm wheel.
Note:
Before replacing the motor, pull off the driver (Pos. 47) and fit it to the
shaft of the new motor at a distance of 10.1mm ±0.1mm (Fig. 15).
When applying grease to the gearwheels and shafts marked in Fig. 14,
the motor shaft must not come into contact with grease.

3.7 Pinch Roller
– Dismantle the cassette compartment (point 3.1).
– Press the securing bars C apart to detach them (Fig. 16) and
remove the holder (Pos. 22) together with the earth spring (Pos. 32).
– Remove the pinch roller unit.
– Unhook the spring (Pos. 31, Fig. 17), turn the plastic lever
(Pos. 18, Fig. 16) in the direction of the arrow and remove it.
Note on reassembling:
Insert the pinch roller unit so that the cutout of the plastic lever
(Pos. 18) engages with the guide of the pinch roller cam wheel
(Pos. 41) (Fig. 16).

3.8 Reels
– Press the end of the brake band (Pos. 1) carefully in the direction of
the arrow and detach it (Fig. 19).
– Turn the reel brakes (Pos. 24 / 25) in the direction of the arrows (Fig.
18) until it is possible to remove them and do so.
– Loosen the clamps of the reels (Pos. 35, Fig. 20) and remove the
reels.
Note on reassembling:
– Before refitting the reel apply grease (part no. 75988 047 0700) to
the shaft of the reel.
– Set the height of the reel to 10mm ±0.2mm using washers (Fig. 21).
Do not measure within the recesses of the mechanism chassis.
