OIL FILTRATION
We recommend filtering the oil after each use to avoid any transfer of
flavors and burnt crumbs. Even when filtered after each use, oil should
be completely replaced on a regular basis.
• Wait for the oil to be cool enough, approximately 3 to 5 hours after
the last cooking.
• Make sure that the oil container is empty before draining the fryer.
• Once the oil has cooled down, turn the oil filtration knob to the
"FILTER OIL" position, the oil will start filtering.
• When the filtration is finished, store your oil container in or out of the
appliance. If stored in the appliance, simply turn the oil control knob
to the "LOCK" position. Make sure the appliance always stays flat
and it is stored in a cool, dry place at a temperature no higher than
room temperature.
• If the oil container is stored out of the appliance, turn the oil control
knob to the "UNLOCK" position and remove the container. Transport
with care and place in a cool, dry place at a temperature no higher
than room temperature.
• Always carry the unit and oil container flat and with both hands.
• To re-use the oil, unscrew the oil box cap, and empty the oil in the
fryer bowl.
• Screw the oil box cap back on and insert the empty container back
in the fryer, with its lid and cap. Place the oil filtration knob on the
"LOCK" position.
• Note: The "Change oil" indicator will illuminate when it is time to use
new oil (after about 10 uses). If the indicator is on, replace the
filtered oil with new oil and press the "RESET" button for 3 seconds to
indicate that new oil is being used.
Emptying the oil container:
Filtered oil can be stored in a suitable container (see Storing oil) or re-
used for frying a new batch of food (see Cooking with oil).
• Unscrew the cap on top of the oil container.
