INSTALLATION

MOUNT INSTALLATION

Please review the following guidelines before beginning the
installation of the Pontoon Hand Control:
• The Motor should be mounted as close to the centerline or
keel of the pontoon as possible when it is deployed.
• Make sure the deck area under the chosen location is clear and unobstructed for drilling.
• Make sure the Mounting Bracket and Shaft are positioned far enough beyond the edge of the pontoon. The motor, as it is lowered
into the water or raised into the pontoon, must not encounter any obstructions.
• Before you proceed, determine the desired mounting location for the motor. Verify that there are no obstacles that the Control Head,
Tilt/Extend Tiller, or Prop might hit while in use that would restrict steering or cause damage to the motor.

of this section. Place the Mounting Bracket as close
to the centerline or keel of the pontoon as possible,
with the Motor in the deployed position, on the deck
of the pontoon.
WARNING
When raising or lowering motor, keep fingers clear of all hinge
and pivot points and all moving parts.
